2007 Training Camp Bid Form

If you are interested in providing your gym for one of the 2007 Regional Training Camps please fill out a bid form. Bids are due by March 31, 2007 and will be evaluated by the Regional Board during their meeting at Regionals.  You may either print the bid form and mail it, or download the Word form, edit it and e-mail it.

New Level 8 Format for Regional Championships

The format for Level 8 Regionals has undergone some significant changes:

Level 8 Super Team Session (Saturday Evening Competition)

  • Top 9 gymnasts from each state regardless of age. Total of 63 Gymnasts.
  • The top 8 gymnasts from each state will be placed in 7 flights
  • The 9th place gymnasts from each state will be placed together in an 8th ‘all-star’ flight.
  • The top 5 scores from all 9 gymnasts on each event will determine team scores.
  • Capitol cup format with four judge panels.
  • Gymnasts will be divided into 2 age groups (Junior/Senior) for individual awards.

Level 8 Individual Sessions (Sunday Competition)

  • Level 8 gymnasts that scored 35.000 AA at their state meet and did not compete in the Saturday evening session.
  • Guarantee of 180 (provided we have 5 or fewer sessions of level 9 & 10 gymnasts).

PURPOSE OF REGIONAL CONGRESSES:

The purpose of regional congress is to provide education to the teachers, coaches, judges and gymnastics business owners of the region. Education and training enable everyone to effectively and professionally serve in the development of the young gymnasts across the country.

REGION 4 EDUCATION:

Over 75 Sessions covering the following areas:

Coaches Education – Sessions covering popular topics for the developmental through elite gymnastics coach. Learn from leaders in the gymnastics community.

Recreational Education – A recreational track covering programs for tots through teens; be the best instructor in your gym!

Business Education – Sessions covering marketing, managing your business, staff retention and more.

Judges Education – Sessions covering compulsory, optional and elite judging criteria, technique and more.
